Who we are
FomoDesk ([legal entity name and address]) operates fomodesk.io and is responsible for the data described here.
Email address
When you subscribe or unlock an article we store your email address, the time you subscribed, the version of the consent text you agreed to, the article and page where you subscribed, the referring website and any campaign (UTM) parameters in the link you arrived from. We use this to send FomoDesk research and updates and to understand which research is useful.
Analytics
We record basic usage events (page and article views, email gate views, sign-ups and button clicks) in our own database, linked to a random identifier rather than your name. [If enabled: we also use PostHog to analyse these events; we do not send your email address to it.]
Cookies
- fd_unlock — remembers that you subscribed so you do not need to enter your email again (up to ~13 months).
- fd_attr — remembers how you first arrived (referrer, campaign parameters) for up to 90 days.
- fd_aid — a random anonymous identifier for analytics (12 months).
We do not use advertising cookies. [Review cookie-consent requirements for your jurisdiction.]
Newsletter and unsubscribing
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Emails are delivered by our email provider (Resend) on our behalf.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
